The Louis-Senlecq Museum of Art and History invites you on a journey through the history and heritage of the small town of L’Isle-Adam and its surrounding area, from the 18th century to the mid-20th century. This exhibition brings together paintings, sculptures, watercolours, engravings, advertising posters, postcards and old photographs from the museum's collection. This gives the visitor the opportunity to explore L'Isle-Adam, between river and national forest, described by Honoré de Balzac in a letter to his sister in 1819 as an "earthly paradise".
