The Maison de Chateaubriand offers the public an incursion into the work of Chateaubriand, Atala, the first novel of the early 19th century that made a mark in the history of literature. The exhibition presents around a hundred works from the 19th and 20th centuries, including paintings, engravings, drawings, sculptures, art objects, merchandise, original editions, parodies, illustrated versions, and translations, which were inspired by the famous novel and created an incredible enthusiasm for the heroes and their adventures at the time. In turn, immerse yourself in the sublime settings of North America in the 18th century and discover the highly inspiring work of Chateaubriand.
