The Méliès Museum invites visitors to become better acquainted with the ingenious, pioneering French poet Georges Méliès. Visitors will discover over 300 artefacts, machines, costumes, posters, drawings, models, nearly 150 photographs and the films produced by this imaginative creator. As heir to a long tradition and a descendant of a myriad of great inventors, Méliès combined science and magic, making a vital contribution to cinema. He opened the doors to magic, dreams and fiction and influenced many filmmakers including Wes Anderson, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James

Cameron and Tim Burton. The museum offers a range of workshops where visitors can discover and experiment with various film techniques.
