30 minutes from Paris in the heart of the Brie countryside, Parrot World is an ode

to nature that takes you on a journey deep into the South American wilderness.

The park opened in 2020 and belongs to a new generation of zoos. Eric Vignot, the

project’s driving force, is the founder of the Parrot Wildlife Foundation, an organisation dedicated to protecting and preserving parrots, the park’s ambassador animals. Its aim is to meet the dual challenges of educating and raising public awareness about nature conservation, all while protecting the welfare of animals. Playful and highly intelligent, parrots are nature’s ambassadors, making them the ideal

guide for discovering and exploring their recreated habitats and the species they live alongside. A choice of two fully immersive and fun trails run through the park: ‘Amazonia Trek’ and ‘Patagonia Trek’, giving visitors the chance to observe the incredible diversity and its iconic wildlife of this South American ecosystem, including jaguars, Humboldt penguins, giant otters, coatis, guanacos, greater rheas, alpacas, American pygmy goats, guinea pigs and more. You will be able to see these animals up close and in more detail than ever before. A variety of activities help you get the most out of the experience and admire nature’s lush diversity and the birds’ astonishing agility. The giant aviary covers 10,000 m2 and is 15 m high, making it one of the largest in Europe and an excellent place to admire more than 350 tropical birds in flight. Simply exhilarating! You can extend your adventure by spending the night in one of five lodges perched at a height of 3 m, each off ering panoramic views of the park’s animals. Alternatively, you can become an animal care assistant for an afternoon. This activity is suitable for children aged 8+ who are interested in learning to care for feathered or furry friends, including helping to prepare their food and feed the animals. This is a wonderful educational experience to enjoy with friends or family.
