At the Domaine National de Chambord
A truly exceptional work of art, Chambord has been registered on UNESCO's World
Heritage List. Recognized throughout the world as an emblem of the French
Renaissance, the château cannot be dissociated from its natural environment, the forest, Europe’s largest walled park, covering 5,440 hectares, more than 1,000 of which are accessible all comers.
With more than 80 rooms open to the public, you can admire the architecture of a Château like no other imagined by Francis I, and climb the famous double revolution staircase inspired by the work of Leonardo da Vinci. Stroll through formal Frenchstyle gardens designed during the reign of Louis XIV, take a bike ride in the park and admire pure, unspoilt landscapes of a historic forest. In 2025, a new show directed by Mario Luraschi will take visitors on a grand historical fresco through 500 years of Chambord's history, from Francis I to the present day.
